I recently had the opportunity to revisit an oldie, but a goodie, but this time for brunch. Big Fish Grill In Rehoboth Beach not too long ago instituted a Sunday Brunch Buffet. Reasonably priced, the buffet is given its own room. One of the first things that drew my attention was the fixins table, which included a seemingly endless assortment of hot sauces and accompaniments to add to one’s bloody mary, as well as fresh fruit and juices to personalize mimosas or bellinis.
Next to the fixins table, I wondered upon the soup and salad table, which during my visit, offered a Lobster Bisque as well as a Manhattan Clam Chowder (the red kind). The lobster bisque was one of the best I have ever had, with a copious amount of lobster pieces swimming in a rich cream base. Aside from the usual breakfast items, some standouts included chicken and waffles, smoked salmon, and a raw bar consisting of shrimp, oysters, and clams. In addition to a meat carving station, there was also a tuna and salmon carving station as well. A pasta selection was sandwiched between bowls of various salads, roasted veggies and quiches and frittatas. Also on the buffet table was a dish called Neva’s Potatoes, which resembled shredded potatoes in a creamy, white cheese sauce. Yummo!!
If you saved room for dessert, there are sticky buns and coffee cake, which tasted homemade, as well as assorted pastries and muffins. I also spied a platter of tiny chocolate cups holding what looked like molten caramel and was absolutely delicious. A perfect ending to a great meal.
The Sunday brunch buffet at Big Fish Grill is a welcome addition to the Rehoboth Sunday brunch dining scene. If you decide to try it, come hungry, and I do mean Very Hungry!! With the wide assortment of food and menu selection, there is enough to please any palate.
Happy Eating. . .
