By way of introduction, let me first say that while I am not an expert or a “trained professional”, I am, by my own definition, a true foodie. My passion for food is all encompassing—whether I am preparing a meal for myself, entertaining friends, or dining out.
I came to the Delaware peninsula and moved to Fenwick Island from Staten Island, New York, when I retired several years ago. I grew up, like most of us did, on familiar comfort food lovingly prepared, mostly by my mom. As I got older, I was introduced to the fine art of dining out, and I began what would become a lifelong, love affair with food. I thoroughly enjoy all types of food and equally appreciate a well made, juicy, medium rare burger, as much as a perfectly seared and seasoned steak.
One thing about this area is that there are certainly no shortage of amazing restaurants and I eat out a lot. No, really….a LOT! For years many of my friends have encouraged me to start a food blog and journal my “food safari” to share my thoughts and opinions .So, my intention is to keep doing what I love to do, namely dining out at new and various restaurants (a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it!) and sharing my personal observations, information, and experiences. I would like this to be your blog too. If you have any personal favorites that you think I should visit, I welcome hearing from you.
So, armed with fork and knife (and an occasional spoon), join me as we begin this culinary adventure together. Bon appetit!
Sincerely,
The Coastal Chowhound
